What's the story?

Story Safari™ Field Trip

A day at the Getty Center in Los Angeles! August 22nd 2018

Amazing architecture, gardens, art—and stories.

1

A day at the Getty

We'll meet online for an hour the week before to get clear on the basics of how to look for stories in the wild.

On August 22nd, arrive at the Getty by 9:30 a.m. and park your car ($15 fee, which I'll reimburse). We'll gather over tea or coffee and talk about how to open your mind and well as your eyes when you look for stories.

2

Finding stories

After a 2-hour guided tour of the architecture and gardens, we'll have a picnic lunch together, talk about what we've heard and seen. Then you can explore on your own for as long as you like. I'll be available for questions through the afternoon.

3

Using stories

A couple of weeks after our field trip, we'll come together on a Zoom call to share the stories you discovered and—if you like—how you've used one to enliven your writing.

Continue your journey with a free 30-minute coaching session with me to discuss any aspect of your writing.

I think in metaphors now!
